You can see a more comprehensive list and application links on my other post, here.
These positions vary in location from the largest base, McMurdo, to the South Pole, Palmer, and even at one of the many field camps.
Lockheed-Martin’s listed open positions were all for scientists or other positions for which I did not qualify. GHG hadn’t posted in Antarctica jobs yet but I believe I read somewhere they start posting them more in the spring.
I was also given the advice to look at the list of companies awarded grants by NSF and contact each of those companies separately. I’ve yet to do this.
All in total I have applied to approximately 40 Antarctica jobs. I have already received contact from Best Recylcing (simply stating they have received my application and would review). GSC has sent me a few automatic form emails stating I was rejected from a handful of the cooking positions (understandable, I have no cooking experience I simply applied “just in case”).
I have my fingers crossed for Rooms Coordinator and/or Administrative Coordinator. These are the positions where I have the most experience; I have even worked in a residence hall before!
